Travel RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1700-$1750
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina (27103)
• Unit: 4th General Med Surg - Electronic
• Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 18 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours available)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Float to similar Med/Surg Tele units as needed
• Self-Scheduling: Yes
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Scrubs: Navy and/or White

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (must be in hand by start date)
• BCLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• IV Start and Telemetry skills required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Preferred: ACLS and NIHSS certifications
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, initiate IVs, and administer medications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
• Float to similar Med/Surg Tele units as needed based on census and skill set
• Follow infection control and isolation precautions
• Participate in self-scheduling and work every other weekend
• Maintain a teamwork approach and uphold professional behavioral expectations
