Paralegal - Personal Injury Litigation
- Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
- Draft legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; file motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures
- Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys
- Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements
- Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items
- Monitor & manage client’s medical treatment
- Send requests for information including medical records & billing
- Organize and maintain electronic client files
- Prepare and electronically file general correspondence, e-mails, demand packages and other exhibits
- Understand subrogation liens & disputing unrelated charges
- Ability to complete balance sheets accurately reflecting Rule 414 payments/adjustments
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and other health insurance portals
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate's degree or higher preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a personal injury law firm or equivalent required
- Paralegal certificate a plus
- Passion for advocating for our clients and maintaining a positive attitude required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills required
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate and collaborate with clients and colleagues
- Must be able to work on-site from 8:30am to 5:30pm Mon-Fri
