A Snapshot of Your Day

As Project Manager – Generator Service, you’ll start your day by checking the status of the projects you are responsible for to ensure they are on track. You may meet with customers on-site and escort them to the factory to see their equipment. You will prepare for and report out in customer meetings, work on monthly project reports, and participate in weekly collaborative production meetings with factory operations personnel.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Direct and coordinate all activities required for on-time delivery of generator service projects, including major sub-components and new replacement components up to and including the full generator.

  • Function as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers on all matters pertaining to the project.
  • Support the SEI GS SV and Region AM/ROW Project Managers in meetings with the Customer and facilitate Customer Witness activities.
  • Respond to requests for quotation and support negotiations for additional scope following order entry and throughout the product warranty phase.
  • Create Extra Work Requests or Project Change Notices, present to customers, and execute change orders once approved.
  • Coordinate and review software and hardware deliverables, and report on project performance, including financial status and risk mitigation.
  • Notify product line management when the product or service does not meet order/contractual requirements. Ensure that projects meet cost targets, scope requirements, and schedule. Take mitigating action when there are discrepancies.
  • Act as an advisor to top management and business partners on technical matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
