The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Landscape Crew Leader to join our commercial maintenance division. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide a crew of 2-4 team members in delivering exceptional landscape maintenance services to premium commercial clients including Class A office properties, educational institutions, and municipal projects.

What You'll Do

• Lead by example - Work alongside your crew on all landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, mulching, and spraying
• Ensure quality execution - Oversee daily operations to ensure work meets TJL's high standards and client expectations
• Manage workflows - Coordinate work orders, ensure timely completion, and communicate progress to project managers
• Build client relationships - Communicate professionally with clients on-site, address concerns proactively, and turn challenges into opportunities
• Develop your team - Coach crew members on proper techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards
• Problem-solve - Think on your feet to address issues quickly and keep projects moving forward
• Maintain equipment - Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and safely operated

What Makes You a Great Fit

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of landscape maintenance experience (commercial preferred)
• Proven experience leading or supervising landscape crews
• Comprehensive knowledge of turf management, plant care, irrigation basics, and landscape equipment operation
• Ability to read and execute work orders and landscape specifications
• Basic technology proficiency for time tracking and work order management

Requirements

• Valid North Carolina Driver's License with clean driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical labor
