Field Service Technician- Motors

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Job description:

Field Service Technicians go out to our customer’s site and make repairs or test motors. They will need a clean driving record because they will be driving one of our trucks. They will need a clean background check, some of our customers won’t let techs onsite without have a clean background check on file. Hours may vary depending on the site, example may start at 7a or may end at 6p, and this position has a high chance of overtime. Weekend and some travel may be required. $20-$25 per hour depending on experience. Here is a rundown of the duties from the job description:

Summary: Responsible for performing all outside repair/maintenance work in a thorough and accurate manner.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Services and installs all equipment according to an established service schedule, customer specification, and/or company standards within acceptable time frames as well as troubleshoots and rectifies potential problems on location

2. Applies knowledge of products and services and seeks training/education as appropriate

3. Works with ESDS items and follows ESD program

4. Documents legibly and accurately all work completed according to company policy and submits on a timely basis

5. Works closely with management and customer (as needed) to ensure timely scheduling of installations, repairs, and service work

6. Ensures proper running condition of vehicle and schedules routine maintenance

7. Builds and maintains customer relations in field to ensure excellent customer service and enhance the company’s image

8. Submits expense report weekly or as required

9. Reads and understands customer instructions and specifications

10. Responsible for gathering and transporting all equipment and tools required for job

This person must be trustworthy, responsible, and a self-starter because once trained up they may be sent to job site on their own. Also, if they have some electrical training or knowledge of switchgears or drives that is a plus.
