Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Location: Apex, North Carolina 27502 – A vibrant community with excellent parks, a welcoming atmosphere, and a thriving downtown.
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel/Contract OT job)
• Start Date: September 10, 2025
• End Date: December 10, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Friday through Monday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,870 - $1,920
• Patient Population: Adult rehabilitation
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Free onsite parking

Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in North Carolina
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient rehab, acute care, or skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings
• Proven experience with adult rehabilitation therapy
• Ability to provide 60-90 minute occupational therapy treatments
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy services to adults recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, or orthopedic injury
• Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans based on patient needs and rehabilitation goals
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress and therapy sessions using Cerner EHR
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive healthcare work environment
