Job Title: Packer

Job Description

As a Packer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our packaging process. You will be responsible for preparing packaging materials, inspecting products for quality defects, and packaging items according to specifications. Your duties will also include communicating quality issues, stacking and wrapping pallets, and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper packaging material is available to match the production schedule.
• Inspect products for quality defects such as unwrapped items, loose wrappers, foreign objects, defective packaging, and proper labeling/lot numbers.
• Package products in cartons or cases according to specifications.
• Communicate packaging and product quality issues to the line leader or supervisor.
• Stack fully packed and sealed cases on pallets according to product specification layouts.
• Wrap full pallets of products with stretch wrap and identify them with the proper production ticket.
• Coordinate the movement of full pallets with material handlers.
• Ensure the work area is clean and orderly at all times.
• Count and weigh scrap and report to the line leader or supervisor.

• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mooresville, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $17.05/hr.
