Auto Body Painter Helper

Join our team as a Body Painter Helper, where you will play a crucial role in preparing materials for the paint line. This position offers an opportunity to learn and perform various tasks related to paint preparation, including hanging, taping, sanding, buffing, and conducting visual checks. You will be working a Monday to Friday schedule, from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

• Prepare materials for the paint line.
• Learn and perform paint prep tasks such as hanging, taping, sanding, buffing, and visual inspections.
• Assist in paint line prep for carbon steel parts.

• Experience in production and general labor.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of wet coat painting and paint preparation.

• Experience with spray guns, paint booths, and powder coating.
• Skills in buffing, sandblasting, and blasting.
• Attention to detail and experience in residential or industrial painting.
• Willingness to learn and grow into a painter role within the shop.

Work in a small shop with a great work culture and opportunities for growth within the company.

The work environment is non-climate controlled, but equipped with heaters in winter and industrial fans in summer. Personal protective equipment such as coveralls is provided, and while steel toe shoes are not required, closed-toed shoes are necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Apex, NC.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
