Kitchen manager
Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Truck Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and exceptional service. The Kitchen Manager will oversee food preparation, inventory management, food safety compliance, team development, and overall kitchen efficiency while maintaining company standards and controlling costs. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations Manage all daily kitchen operations to ensure food is prepared accurately, efficiently, and consistently. Maintain quality standards for food presentation, taste, and portion control. Monitor ticket times and kitchen performance during peak service periods. Ensure all recipes and preparation procedures are followed correctly. Team Leadership Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff on company standards and procedures. Create prep and production plans to support daily operations and events. Hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, and professionalism. Foster a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment. Food Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Conduct routine kitchen inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization. Verify proper food storage, labeling, rotation, and temperature controls. Maintain all required food safety certifications and documentation. Inventory & Cost Control Manage inventory levels and place food and supply orders as needed. Monitor food costs and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve profitability. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile variances. Ensure proper receiving and storage of all products. Quality & Guest Satisfaction Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency. Address food quality concerns immediately and implement corrective actions when needed. Work closely with the management team to ensure an outstanding guest experience. Qualifications 2+ years of kitchen leadership or management experience. Strong knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen operations. Experience with inventory management and food cost control. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Food truck, quick-service, or high-volume kitchen experience. Food Safety Manager Certification (ServSafe or equivalent). Experience with scheduling and inventory management systems. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
