Textile Senior Machine Operators
The Senior Machine Operator is a hands-on production role responsible for operating,
maintaining, and troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment to ensure high-
quality output and efficiency. This position is not a management role but requires strong
technical expertise, independent decision-making, and the ability to mentor junior
operators.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve process and quality issues independently.
Conduct regular quality checks and ensure compliance with company safety
standards.
Collaborate with engineering, QA, and production teams to improve efficiency
and resolve operational challenges.
Follow and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing
process optimizations.
Mentor and train junior operators, providing technical guidance and knowledge-
sharing without direct supervisory responsibilities.
Maintain accurate documentation of production, quality, and maintenance
activities.
Essential Communication Skills:
Clearly communicate production status, issues, and solutions across teams.
Provide constructive feedback and technical guidance to junior operators.
Collaborate effectively with engineers, QA staff, and fellow operators.
Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced production
environment.
Other Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in
machine operation.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting complex
machinery; technical training or certifications a plus.
Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making
skills.
Output: Proven record of consistent, high-quality production.
Interpersonal Skills: Team-oriented with the ability to mentor and guide others.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
