This role is a Temporary Full-Time (W-2) position designed for professionals who will be embedded at client sites for the duration of specific project assignments. As an Embedded Project Manager – Project Assignment, you will operate as a trusted extension of both the client and EAD, providing on-site leadership and execution support. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy travel, hands-on project work, and dynamic, project-based assignments where duration is tied to the needs of each engagement.ResponsibilitiesEnsure projects are delivered under budget, within schedule, within the agreed-to scope and with great customer experienceLead small teams consisting of various engineering disciplines and other project support personnelResponsible for maintaining appropriate project documentation in the proper locationsManage client's project expectations and requirementsUnderstand and perform critical path analysisSign client/firm agreement, if qualified within the limits of EAD signatory policyMaintains understanding of project financial issuesAuthorizes billing to clientResponsible for project reporting including resource utilization and project profitabilityAccountable for project costs, schedules, performance and safetyResponsible for communications, escalations and resolving complex client issuesAct as single point of contact to the client, senior-level project managers and company executivesTracking and delivering project metricsMentoring and coaching team membersReport into senior and executive managementLead multiple, large, multi-disciplinary projectsResponsible for adhering to all EAD's safety standards and practicesLead preparation of proposals including scope definition, schedule development and budget estimatesPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Construction, Civil Engineering, Project Management with ten years of relevant working experience and advanced knowledge in mechanical engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceTen years of experience in project management/execution with an understanding of standard project management processes/proceduresExperience leading or supporting projects in active client facility environments, with direct exposure to on-site operationsPMP certifiedHigh level interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacyAbility to manage small to large projectsProficient in executing fast tracked projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEngineering consulting firm experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, while being capable of interacting effectively with plant operations from the maintenance level through and including the executive levelMust have a proven track record of accomplishments as a project manager or lead engineer on industrial projects and be capable of supervising and directing a team of engineers, contractors, and vendorsAbility to review design drawings and assess a job site for constructability including pre-construction activities, fabrication workflow, material staging, and safety risks Ability to review and manage the implementation of safety and injury reporting procedures Working knowledge of excel including macrosSelf-starter with strong attention to detailAbility to develop business opportunitiesPosses and able to maintain a valid driver's licenseComputer proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project requiredTravel and/or field experience requiredWorking Conditions:Embedded at a plant, or client site environment*Must be willing to travel as required and work remotely on a client site.Ability to sit and work at computer for extended periods of timeAbility to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders multiple times a day and/or work in tight spaces in extreme conditionsMay work near moving mechanical parts and equipment*Office, Commercial and/or Industrial setting with the potential of exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals*Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.*Weekend, holiday or evening work as needed* EAD will provide training, administrative/engineering controls, and personal protective equipment as necessary.We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and background will lead to a better workplace for our employees and a better product for our customers.EAD is an Equal Opportunity Employer
