About You and the Role:

Pay: $18–$20/hr - Starting Pay

Primary Responsibilities:

• Upholster fabric and leather furniture
  

• Secure materials using staple guns, air ratchets, and drills
  

• Match cover materials to appropriate furniture frames
  

• Upholster all frame components according to specifications
  

• Read and follow production instructions, including details such as leg color, welt, tack, springs, and other custom requirements
  

• Correct defects such as crooked seams or staple inconsistencies
  

• Perform visual quality inspections on completed work
  

• Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
  

Essential Job Functions:

• Frequently lift furniture ranging from 10–75 lbs
  

• Occasional bending, pushing, and pulling
  

• Frequent overhead reaching while operating a 10 lb air gun
  

• Continuous standing for 8–10 hour shifts

Requirements

Must be able to safely use air tools including:

• Staple gun
• Air racket
• Drill
• Blower

• Ability to work with welt on front post.
• Ability to assemble frame and or mechanisms to the frames as required.
• Ability to inspect work as being upholstered and this includes sewing mistakes and bad leather or fabric.
• Physical strength to pull hard materials onto the frame for long periods of time
• Must check seams and quality when a piece is complete.
