Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients, providing quality specimen collection services in a professional, compassionate manner. The PSR II draws high-quality blood samples, prepares specimens for testing, and ensures all activities comply with established protocols . This role requires strong customer service , attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily specimen collection and processing duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

• Maintain a safe and professional work environment and follow all health and safety protocols.

• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection with confidence and accuracy.

• Verify patient identification and ensure proper labeling of all specimens in the patient’s presence.

• Maintain required records, documentation, and confidentiality of patient information.

• Demonstrate organizational commitment and uphold a positive image with patients, clients, and the public.

• Support business needs by traveling to other Patient Service Centers or in-office phlebotomy locations when required.

• Adhere to company policies, dress code, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.

Required Experience:

• Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

• Ability to provide error-free, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills with demonstrated customer service experience.

• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment.

• Prior experience in customer-facing or retail environments.

• Data entry or keyboarding proficiency.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changes.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent – required.

• Medical assistant or paramedic training – preferred.

• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

• Phlebotomy and specimen collection

• Patient verification and documentation accuracy

• Strong customer service and communication

Preferred Skills:

• Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy techniques

• Multi-site flexibility and travel readiness

• Confidentiality and data integrity management
