As a Security Officer - Part-Time Checkpoint in Winston Salem, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and support visitor and employee check-in using a computer and/or tablet. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols as needed, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other access control systems and report unusual activity and/or equipment issues per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing location, including production areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the exterior perimeter, as permitted by site policy and conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
