Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and support communication with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
