Electromechanical Assembly Technician — Industrial Compressors

Picture your morning at our Mocksville site: the 1st shift horn sounds at 6:00 a.m., and you step into a clean, organized cell. You queue up engineering drawings, verify your calibrated tools, and begin building mission‑critical equipment with the care of a watchmaker—mechanical sub‑assemblies, delicate instrumentation, and controls that will be function‑tested before the unit moves on. By 2:00 p.m., you’ve signed off your work to the next station, confident in the quality you delivered.

Role

We’re seeking an experienced assembler who thrives on detail and takes ownership of quality from first bolt to final test.

Location & Shift

• Mocksville, North Carolina
• 1st Shift, Monday–Friday (6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.)

What you’ll tackle

• Build mechanical sub‑assemblies and full packages, including fine, high‑tolerance work; integrate select electrical, instrumentation, and control components.
• Set up and perform functional testing with in‑process quality checks.
• Disassemble and rebuild air ends and other sensitive rotating assemblies.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, bills of material, and quality documentation.
• Own your workmanship: complete required sign‑offs before moving assemblies to the next operation.
• Confirm tool calibration status and report discrepancies immediately.
• Work productively with limited supervision while maintaining a safe, orderly workspace and following all safety procedures.
• Spot hazards and drive resolution; assist in training team members as needed.
• Apply disciplined problem‑solving; demonstrate outstanding manual dexterity and craftsmanship.
• Use precision metrology such as calipers, dial indicators, and related measuring devices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects (e.g., Lean, cell layout optimization, and other CI initiatives).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Proven troubleshooting mindset and sound judgment.
• Fluency reading and applying technical drawings, specs, assembly work instructions, BOMs, and QC documentation.
• Skilled with correct tooling, fixturing, and equipment to meet engineering requirements.
• Collaborative, adaptable teammate who contributes across a flexible cell.
