Rate of Pay: $17.55 per hour

Position Summary

Connestee Falls Property Owners Association (CFPOA) is a semi-private, member-owned community located in Brevard, North Carolina, encompassing more than 3,900 acres of private property. The Server Assistant (Busser/Food Runner) supports servers in providing prompt, courteous service to members and guests. Responsibilities include delivering food accurately and efficiently from the kitchen to tables, assisting with menu item descriptions when needed, refilling beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the dining areas. This role requires strong teamwork, adherence to the Club’s service standards, a professional appearance, and a positive, guest-focused attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to the correct table.
• Ensures proper food presentation and confirms order accuracy upon delivery.
• Assist members and guests by answering basic menu questions and communicating dining needs to servers or kitchen staff.
• Clears, cleans, and resets tables in a timely manner according to Club standards.
• Refills beverages and provides water service as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, and surrounding areas.
• Stocks service stations with necessary supplies (glassware, flatware, condiments, linens, etc.).
• Assists servers with side work and service support throughout shifts.
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to Club service standards.
• Works collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Follows all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred; private club experience a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with members and guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service practices preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to established service standards.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
• Professional appearance and positive, service-oriented attitude

Physical Demands

• Must be able to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, reach, and continual and repetitive use of fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Must be able to work around equipment that generates heat.
• Must be able to hear, see, taste, touch, and smell. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and different shades of color.
• Must be able to comply with safety and health requirements.
