High‑Reach Forklift and Order Selection Specialist

A day in this role

You start your shift by checking your equipment, syncing your RF hand-held scanner, and reviewing the pick list. Throughout the day you move between high‑reach/cherry picker work and ground-level tasks—picking customer orders precisely from designated locations, staging pallets, and keeping dock activity flowing. You wrap up by transporting completed orders to the correct area and communicating updates to your supervisor.

Schedule and pay: Monday–Friday; $17–$19 per hour, depending on experience.

What you’ll do

• Operate multiple types of forklifts (including cherry picker/high‑reach) and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Pick customer orders accurately by hand and with forklifts from specified locations, on time.
• Handle shipping, receiving, and hands‑on GL dock work; load and unload trucks correctly and carefully.
• Use an RF hand‑held scanner, totes, rolling carts, pallets, and pallet jacks to process orders.
• Read instructions, count accurately, and maintain inventory control with strong attention to detail.
• Transport completed orders to designated staging areas within the warehouse.
• Communicate effectively with your supervisor and support a clean, safe, team‑oriented environment.

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years operating a range of forklifts.
• 2+ years of high‑volume order picking experience in a fast‑paced setting.
• Basic math skills; ability to read and count with precision.
• Above‑average attention to detail and solid analytical skills.
• Team mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving warehouse.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk for the entire shift.
• Current or prior forklift license/certification.
