Lawn Maintenance Crew Supervisor

As a Lawn Maintenance Crew Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading and developing a team to ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a crew in performing landscape maintenance tasks, ensuring quality and efficiency on all assigned properties.
- Train and mentor crew members in all aspects of lawn care, tree care, and horticulture practices.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure work is completed according to daily instructions from management.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, including routine blade changes and tagging equipment for repair as needed.
- Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe, clean, and working condition, following manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Keep accurate fuel and mileage logs for vehicles and equipment.
- Communicate crew member performance and any issues to management clearly and promptly.
- Update the Lawn Maintenance Manager regarding material shrinkage, failures, and replacement needs.
- Hold team members accountable for tool assignments and report any loss or damage.
Qualifications
- Experience in landscape maintenance and landscaping, with strong attention to detail.
- Proven supervisory skills and experience leading teams in a similar environment.
- Knowledge of lawn care, tree care, horticulture practices, and groundskeeping techniques.
- Experience with turf management, fertilization, and familiarity with irrigation systems preferred.
- Ability to train and develop crew members, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to delegate tasks efficiently and manage schedules to meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to bend, kneel, lift heavy objects, walk extensively, and work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and over uneven terrain.
- Commitment to maintaining equipment and taking ownership of work quality.
