Laborer

Summary: The Yard Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center or landfill. Responsibilities may include such things as cleaning portable restrooms, yard clean-up, fueling vehicles, washing equipment, small equipment operation, general office maintenance, acting as helper on a garbage truck, and other related duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities to include such duties as: Cleaning and maintaining work areas; Fueling vehicles and equipment; Cleaning equipment Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick-up. Clean portable restrooms Operate general site vehicles and equipment such as skid steers, mowers, trimming equipment, etc. Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work. Install temporary fences Direct traffic at the site as necessary. Act as a helper on garbage trucks Pressure wash containers and portable restrooms Assist with special events Follow and comply with all safety policies. Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ and or Experience:.

* A valid non-CDL driver's license is required.

* Experience in the Solid Waste Industry preferred.
