Travel Nursing Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1820 - $1870
• Assignment Type: Travel RN (13 weeks)
• Location: Burlington, NC 27215 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Emergency Department (ED)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); occasional 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Up to every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Charting System: EPIC (required)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room (ER) nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience in STEMI and Stroke certified facilities required
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to provide care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Willingness to float to other campuses as needed
• RN license in hand at time of submission
• No local candidates within 50 miles (travel nursing requirement)
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER setting
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with a wide range of medical emergencies, including trauma, cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and behavioral health
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies
• Perform and monitor advanced procedures such as central line care, continuous IV sedation, ventilator management, and procedural sedation
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; manage STEMI and stroke protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV teams, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
• Participate in self-scheduling and provide coverage for weekends and holidays as required
