About the Role

As a Curb Machine Operator, you’ll play a vital role in our concrete finishing operations. You’ll operate advanced GOMACO self-propelled curb machines to create precision concrete contours and ensure every project meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate and maintain GOMACO curb machines, performing routine fueling, greasing, and troubleshooting.

· Diagnose equipment issues and execute timely repairs to keep operations running smoothly.

· Set elevations, stringlines, and prepare subgrades for slipform curb operations and grade trimming.

· Collaborate with construction crews, assisting with concrete finishing and general labor when needed.

· Maintain clean and organized work areas, upholding safety and efficiency at all times.

· Strictly adhere to safety protocols and company policies in a safety-sensitive environment.

· Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the team.

What We’re Looking For

· High school diploma or GED required.

· 1–3 years’ experience operating a GOMACO concrete curb finishing machine preferred.

· Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver’s license meeting state requirements.

· Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.

· Willingness to work nights, weekends, travel, and adapt to changing environments as needed.

· Team-oriented with a proactive approach to assisting colleagues and supervisors.

· Strict commitment to safety standards (OSHA/MSHA) and use of required PPE.

Skills & Qualities for Success

· Proficient in problem-solving, equipment operation, and basic maintenance.

· Strong communication skills—verbal and written—with the ability to follow detailed instructions.

· Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting up to 95 lbs. and working in various weather conditions.

· Capable of multitasking, time management, and working safely under pressure.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

· Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as described in duties.

· Work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes exposed to loud noise, moving machinery, and chemicals.

· Commitment to wearing all required safety gear and following best practices to ensure a safe workplace.
