Procurement Specialist

Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Location: Monroe, North Carolina

Overview:
System One is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team. You will manage complex contracts for services, equipment, and supplies while supporting cross-functional teams across operations, finance, engineering, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement processes from requisition to contract award and administration

• Develop Statements of Work (SOW) and evaluate vendor technical and cost proposals

• Negotiate price, delivery, and contract terms

• Track and report cost savings initiatives

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve procurement-related issues

• Manage supplier performance using KPIs and scorecards

• Provide guidance and support to junior team members

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• 3+ years in procurement or similar role

• Manufacturing experience preferred

• ERP system experience preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and cost/financial analytics

Certifications:

• APICS or CPSM certification is a plus

Working Conditions:

• Office-based with regular attendance; some travel may be required

• Occasional exposure to operational environments

• PPE as required per safety procedures
