Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a skilled MIG / TIG Welder for a full-time, 1st shift opportunity in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. This role requires a welder who can read blueprints, fabricate components, and use various hand and power tools to complete high-quality welds.

We are seeking dependable candidates with strong fabrication experience and a solid understanding of welding techniques and metal properties.

Responsibilities

As a MIG / TIG Welder, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing MIG and TIG welding on various metal materials.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings .

• Fabricating and assembling metal components according to specifications.

• Using hand and power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, and cutting equipment.

• Preparing materials by measuring, cutting, and fitting parts before welding.

• Inspecting welds for strength, penetration, and overall quality.

• Maintaining consistent weld appearance and meeting quality standards.

• Troubleshooting minor welding and fabrication issues.

• Following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• Prior MIG and TIG welding experience required .

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings .

• Experience using hand tools and power tools (saws, drills, grinders, etc.).

• Strong understanding of welding techniques and metal properties.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

• Reliable attendance and consistent work history preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

• Welding certification is a plus but not required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Fabrication and assembly experience.

• Blueprint reading proficiency.

• Knowledge of welding safety standards.

• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

Shifts & Hours

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Monday – Friday

• Full-Time

• Overtime may be available based on workload
