Position Overview

The Campus Safety Coordinator ensures Vizion Church campuses remain safe, secure, and properly managed during evening ministry activities. This role serves as the primary staff representative after business hours and is responsible for monitoring security systems, overseeing building access, supporting evening ministries, and properly securing both campuses each night.

This position plays a critical role in protecting people, property, and the mission of Vizion Church by maintaining a visible presence and exercising sound judgment in all situations.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Safety & Security Oversight

• Monitor live security camera feeds for both campuses.
• Oversee and control building access during evening activities.
• Conduct routine physical walkthroughs of facilities.
• Identify and address safety concerns or suspicious activity.
• Respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies.
  
• Contact law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
  

2. Evening Operations Management

• Serve as the primary staff point of contact for both campuses from 5pm10pm.
• Support connect groups, rehearsals, School of Discipleship classes, and other ministry gatherings.
• Assist congregants and visitors with basic facility needs during evening use.
• Communicate any incidents or maintenance issues to appropriate staff.

3. Building Closing Procedures

• Ensure all rooms are cleared and secured.
• Turn off lights and secure access points.
• Arm alarm systems at both campuses.
• Confirm buildings are properly locked and secured each night.
• Complete nightly closing checklist and incident report if needed.

4. Documentation & Communication

• Log incidents, unusual activity, or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain clear communication with leadership regarding safety matters.
• Provide summary reports when necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, law enforcement, military, facilities, or related field preferred.
• Strong situational awareness and sound decision-making ability.
• Comfortable operating security cameras, alarms, and building systems.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
