Planner Scheduler
Location: Research Triangle Park, NC 27709
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Pay rate: $32/hr. on W2 Position Overview:
- The Planner Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining project schedules to ensure efficient resource allocation and timely completion of tasks. This role serves as a critical link between project managers, engineers, and operations teams, ensuring that all activities are planned, tracked, and executed according to organizational goals.
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (CMMS, Microsoft Project, etc.)
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather input and align schedules with project objectives.
- Monitor progress against baseline schedules, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and distribute regular schedule reports, dashboards, and forecasts to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation across multiple projects.
- Support risk management by identifying potential delays and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of schedule changes, approvals, and updates.
- Assist in developing work breakdown structures (WBS) and project timelines.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to align material deliveries with project schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (3–5 years) in project planning and scheduling within biotech, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Proficiency in scheduling tools such as CMMS, MS Project, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work across teams.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, Lean) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
