About the Role:
The Operator position, spanning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, is critical to ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing or production equipment within our facilities across the United States. The primary goal of this role is to monitor, control, and maintain machinery to meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards. Operators will be responsible for identifying and troubleshooting operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain workflow. This role requires adaptability to work across different shifts, collaborating with team members to ensure seamless handovers and consistent production output. Ultimately, the Operator contributes directly to the company’s operational excellence by maintaining high standards of equipment performance and product quality throughout all shifts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial machinery.
- Ability to work flexible hours including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts as required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Effective communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control processes.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills related to production equipment.
- Certification in OSHA or other relevant safety training.
- Ability to use computerized production tracking systems.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is functioning optimally and safely.
- Identify, report, and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues to minimize production interruptions.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation for quality control and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with team members across shifts to ensure smooth transitions and consistent production flow.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and participate in safety training and audits.
- Assist in training new operators and support continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
Skills:
The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for daily operation and monitoring of machinery, ensuring that production runs smoothly and safely. Communication skills enable the operator to effectively report issues and coordinate with team members across different shifts, which is vital for maintaining continuous production. Preferred skills like troubleshooting and familiarity with SOPs enhance the operator’s ability to quickly resolve equipment problems and maintain quality standards. Safety training and certifications support the operator in adhering to regulatory requirements and fostering a safe work environment.
