Tax Accountant / CPA

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Accountant / CPA to join our Jamestown, NC team. This full-time position is ideal for professionals with 3+ years of public accounting experience, particularly in tax preparation and compliance. The Tax Accountant / CPA will play a vital role in supporting a growing accounting firm in Jamestown, handling individual, business, and corporate tax filings while ensuring precision and adherence to federal and state tax regulations. This role offers direct client interaction, opportunities to manage workflows, and involvement in strategic tax planning initiatives in Jamestown, NC. Candidates must hold a CPA license or be actively working toward certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations in Jamestown, NC.
• Ensure all filings meet federal, state, and local compliance standards.
• Provide clients with guidance on tax planning strategies, deductions, and liability reduction.
• Examine client financial records to identify potential tax concerns and planning opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain efficient workload distribution and uphold quality.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax documentation, filing questions, and updates.
• Stay updated on tax law changes impacting clients in Jamestown and surrounding areas.

• 3+ years of experience in tax accounting within a public accounting environment.
• CPA license required or actively pursuing certification.
