Product Manager - VFD

We’re recruiting for a Product Manager to lead the Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) product line for our client in Raleigh, North Carolina . This full-time, onsite role offers the chance to shape strategy and growth for a global leader in power and thermal management systems serving automation, renewable energy, and industrial markets. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

In this position, you’ll drive business success across the VFD and power-quality portfolio, blending technical expertise with product leadership. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to define strategy, guide development, and execute market-driven initiatives that accelerate growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead product strategy, lifecycle management, and roadmap execution for VFD and power-quality systems.

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and marketing to launch new solutions and expand market share.

• Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to guide decision-making.

• Support technical sales, customer engagement, and field application efforts.

• Identify new opportunities in automation, energy efficiency, and motor control markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

• Hands-on experience in industrial automation, process control, or motor control systems.

• Strong understanding of VFD technology, power filtering, and control loops.

• Familiarity with brands like ABB, Siemens, Rockwell, Yaskawa, Danfoss, Delta, or Schneider.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

• Knowledge of UL, CE, TUV, and networks (EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET) preferred.

Additional Details

• Salary: $165,000–$190,000 base (includes 10–15% bonus)

• 401(k) match up to 10% with full benefits

• Travel: 20–30%
