Occupational Therapist Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Occupational Health/Therapy Unit
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 – 15:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
• Floating: Willingness to float between both hospital campuses as needed
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted hours guaranteed after up to 2 shift call-offs per 13-week assignment
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2040–$2090

Occupational Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent occupational therapy experience
• Active North Carolina OT license or compact state licensure required
• Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred
• Ability to float between hospital campuses as needed
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• Return staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Compliance with facility background and licensing requirements

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for acute care patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient progress and outcomes using EPIC or designated charting systems
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic interventions and home care strategies
• Float between hospital campuses as needed to support patient care needs
• Participate in weekend coverage on a rotating basis
