B2B Inside Account Executive, Building Materials
A day in this role
You start your morning by scanning your Salesforce pipeline, following up on the previous day’s conversations, and refining a list of new prospects. Before lunch, you’re on the phone with distributors and retailers, walking them through Versatrim’s flooring trim solutions, scheduling a quick product demo, and arranging samples. In the afternoon, you compile a succinct update for the Inside Sales Manager, jump into the call queue to support incoming inquiries, and close the day by logging activities and planning tomorrow’s outreach.
What you'll do
- Source, research, and cultivate new B2B leads across flooring, trim, and building product channels
- Own day-to-day management of assigned accounts and nurture long-term customer relationships
- Process orders and samples; resolve customer questions by phone and email
- Create and submit weekly opportunity and project reports to the Inside Sales Manager
- Participate in call queues and assist teammates to ensure timely responses
- Deliver product trainings and presentations for assigned accounts as needed
- Document every touchpoint in Salesforce and keep account data accurate and current
- Qualify new customers and coordinate cross-functionally to optimize sales efforts
- Develop deep expertise in Versatrim’s catalog and competitive landscape
- Support off-site trainings or shows as needed (expenses paid)
- Cross-train to support any customer when needed
- Achieve or surpass sales targets and key performance indicators
What you bring
- Self-motivation, strong attention to detail, and a strategic, creative mindset
- Ability to follow directions while exercising sound judgment
- Experience in flooring/trim or broader building products sales preferred
- Background in account management and development
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new processes and support other departments
- Excellent relationship-building skills
Baseline qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- 18 years of age or older
- Prior sales experience is a plus
