Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Wilson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a 294-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital
• 26-bed ED unit serving all patient populations, including adult, pediatric, and geriatric
• Common diagnoses and cases include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension
• Patient ratio of 1:4–5, flexible depending on acuity
• GE Monitors and standard ED equipment in use
• Meditech EMR — experience preferred
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float requirement to like assignments

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Located in Wilson, NC — approximately 45 miles east of Raleigh, 1 hour from Duke, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill, and East Carolina University
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
