Supervisor
Major Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with pathologists and leadership to support clinical and safety initiatives.
- Oversees efficient lab operations and acts as a liaison to lab leadership.
- Maintains competency in processes and serves as a subject matter expert.
- Develops and implements performance improvement processes to enhance patient and employee satisfaction.
- Leads the implementation of standards and systems to improve quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Ensures compliance with all regulations and accreditation requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP, OSHA, FDA, The Joint Commission).
- Maintains effective communication and collaborates with leadership to deliver excellent customer service.
- Manages specimen processing, staffing, and resource utilization.
- Handles human resources tasks, including interviewing, promotions, development, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.
- Ensures adherence to ethical conduct and compliance with relevant policies and laws.
