Systems Analyst - Fleet
Essential Requirements:
The Systems Analyst supports technology operations within a concrete production and delivery environment, ensuring that telematics, fleet‑tracking, dispatch, and operational systems run reliably and efficiently. This role bridges the gap between plant operations, fleet management, safety, and IT—translating business needs into system requirements, optimizing data flows from telematics devices, and improving visibility into mixer performance, driver behavior, and delivery outcomes.

Business & Operational Requirements Analysis:
- Partner with fleet, dispatch, and plant operations teams to understand workflow needs related to material delivery, asset utilization, and safety.
Telematics System Management:
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability both in trucks and offices.
- Review invoicing relating to IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues in both vehicles and sites.
- Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware in both vehicles and sites.
- Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
- Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
- Conducting daily backup operations.
- Managing technical documentation.
- Maintain and optimize telematics platforms including device health, online rate, video retrieval, and exception‑based alerts.
- Ensure accurate driver–vehicle assignments, vehicle telemetry, geofence accuracy, and compliance‑related reporting.
Dispatch, Fleet & Production System Integration:
- Support integrations between telematics, dispatch, ERP systems, and maintenance platforms.
- Troubleshoot data‑flow issues impacting ticketing, engine diagnostics, GPS data, or fuel/idle reporting.
Testing & Implementation:
- Develop and execute test plans for new telematics features, mobile apps, workflow changes, and dispatch system enhancements.
- Support device installations, firmware updates, and pilot rollouts.
Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting:
- Analyze fleet data to identify trends in delivery performance and driver behavior.
- Recommend improvements to routing, coaching workflows, geofence setups, and telemetry configurations.
Documentation & Training:
- Create user guides, SOPs, and reference materials.
- Provide training on telematics dashboards and exception alerts.
KPIs Specific to Ready‑Mix Fleet Operations:
- Fleet Health & Resource Optimization:
- Maintain ≥ 95% device uptime.
Dispatch & Ticket Accuracy: Achieve ≥ 95% ticket‑to‑GPS data synchronization.
Physical Demands:Some duties involve frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 70 pounds; some sitting; some standing; working in all weather conditions; exposure to high noise levels that require wearing hearing protection. Extraneous situations may arise for which additional physical demands may be required.
It is also anticipated that stress will be associated with this position primarily due to the demands of this position. It is necessary that the individual have the capacity to remain calm; considerate, and tactful under stressful and unanticipated situations.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Occasionally early morning, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Up to 50 percent of travel may be required for fleet support.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in database programming and software installation.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven multi-tasking abilities.
- Good problem-solving skills.
