Junior Accountant
Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Junior Accountant for our client in Raleigh. The primary responsibilities of the Property Accountant are to assist the Senior Property Accountant in accounting and reporting of all properties assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate balance sheet reconciliation to sub-ledgers and/or supporting documentation and income statement review at month-end including
- Bank reconciliations including clean up significantly aged outstanding checks
- Accounts Payable and Accruals
- Accounts Receivable, Bad Debts, Security Deposits and Prepaid Rents
- Mortgage and escrow balances
- Taxes, Insurance
- Identification and reclassification of transactions miscoded
- Additional closing procedures as required
- Assist in getting all monthly documents scanned into Google Drive
- Assign easily completed and basic tasks to Accounting Assistant
- Special Projects and other tasks As Assigned by Senior Property Accountant and Property Controller
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
- 1-3 years accounting experience
- Property Accounting experience a plus
- Strong communication & organizational skills
- Comfortable with MS Office
