Facilities Maintenance Technician
Pay Rate: 31/hr | Temp-to-Perm | Vehicle & Gas Card Provided
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Raliegh. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, company vehicle, and gas card, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial building systems, and will be confident working across multiple trades including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and monitor repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to ensure facilities meet applicable standards.
Travel between multiple facilities to ensure proper operation of building systems.
Oversee facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance.
Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and related equipment at peak performance.
Record readings and adjust systems as needed for optimal operation.
Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with departmental policy.
Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
Monitor quality and cost of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
Maintain compliance with all safety procedures, promote safe work practices, and recognize and resolve safety hazards.
Ensure good housekeeping and organization of all work areas.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
5–7 years of experience in commercial building maintenance and repair.
Skilled in analyzing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
EPA 608 Type II Certification (required).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
EPA 608 Universal Certification.
Two years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
Experience with multi-facility maintenance in a commercial or industrial setting.
