Imaging Service Engineer I - Hospital Equipment | Greensboro, NC
Our client is seeking a skilled and service‑oriented Imaging Service Engineer I to join their Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) team in Greensboro, NC. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diagnostic imaging equipment while delivering exceptional customer service to clinical staff.

Responsibilities:
- Documents work accurately and consistently.
- Maintains high equipment uptime and reliability.
- Responds quickly and professionally to clinical staff needs.
- Demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills and technical judgment.
- Works collaboratively with HTM leadership and hospital teams.
- Participate in on‑call rotation and provide emergency support when needed.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and update equipment tracking systems.
- Perform installation, preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of diagnostic imaging systems, including CT, C‑arm, portable X‑ray, and ultrasound equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to identify equipment concerns and ensure safe, reliable operation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, regulatory requirements, and HTM best practices.
- Support equipment lifecycle management, including parts purchasing and vendor coordination.
Qualifications/Must Haves:
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment.
- Strong communication, customer service, and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic software, calibration tools, and electronic test equipment.
- Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field (equivalent experience, OEM training, or military biomedical training also accepted)
- 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment maintaining and repairing clinical devices OR 1+ year of direct imaging equipment repair experience.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic imaging systems (CT, C‑arm, X‑ray, ultrasound)
Preferred Skills:
- CRES or BMET certification.
- OEM training on specific imaging modalities.
- Experience with equipment documentation and regulatory compliance.
