Clinical Applications System Analyst- 8 month contract - REMOTE - MUST be in the Eastern Time Zone of the US
The primary purpose of this position is to support the various projects proposed in the Medicaid/HIE APD to ensure that each of the projects move forward within the schedule, budget, scope and resources available.
The primary purpose of this position is to work in partnership with external partners and stakeholders, including but not limited to NC HealthConnex participants and DHHS representatives, to work collaboratively to develop and implement quality services to improve population health outcomes in the state of North Carolina. · Knowledge of clinical standardized code systems such as CPT, LOINC, and ICD-10· Understanding of data quality best practices, governance, and security requirements · Mature knowledge of health information exchange data standards and formats, including knowledge of Electronic Health Record Systems' (EHRs) data architecture. · Subject matter expert (SME) level of knowledge working with clinical data, EHRs, HL7 v2 and C-CDA messages · Proven experience with clinical data ETL techniques, data verification, data quality management, and validation · Experience with analyzing and documenting processes and requirement specifications and developing clinical workflows · Understanding of general IT architectural principles, technical designs and specifications · Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact and communicate effectively with non-technical clients · Knowledge of HIPAA and health care regulatory compliance as they relate to Electronic Health Record (EHR)/Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Health Information Exchange (HIE). · Experience with Microsoft Office Tools, including Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint. · Ability to interact as a productive team member on a project team.
5 years - Knowledge of clinical standardized code systems such as CPT, LOINC, and ICD-10
6 years - Ability to create and maintain SQL queries, BI dashboards, JIRA, Microsoft office documents (ex. SP, Project. Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)
