Job Type: Part-Time | Up to 124 services annually

The DNA Group is seeking a skilled and spiritually aligned Catholic Musician to provide live liturgical music for Mass and other religious services at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. Services take place at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Chapel and serve active-duty military members, families, and the base community.

This is a mission-driven opportunity to support faith and worship through professional music ministry, with a consistent part-time schedule and the chance to lead sacred music during high-observance liturgical events throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide musical accompaniment for two Catholic Masses per week (up to 104 annually)

• Support up to 20 additional special services per year (e.g., Holy Days of Obligation, funerals, memorials)

• Arrive at least 15 minutes early and coordinate music selections with the Chapel Priest or Officiating Chaplain

• Lead sacred music that aligns with Catholic liturgical tradition

• Communicate with the Chaplain’s Office regarding schedule updates or emergencies

• Report any issues with musical instruments or materials

• May be asked to perform at chapel-supported ceremonies (excluding weddings)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficient in piano, organ, or keyboard with strong sight-reading skills

• 2+ years performing in a Catholic or Christian worship setting

• Demonstrated experience in Catholic Mass music and liturgical accompaniment

• Familiarity with the structure of Catholic Mass and traditional hymnody

• Able to perform solo and collaborate respectfully with clergy

• Must pass a live audition and background check for base access

• Must have reliable transportation and maintain punctual attendance

Required Experience:

• Liturgical or Contemporary Worship Music Performance: 2 years (Required)

• Piano/Organ/Keyboard Proficiency & Sight Reading: 2 years (Required)

• Catholic Mass Accompaniment or Faith-Based Worship Music: 2 years (Required)

• Experience Coordinating with Clergy or Chaplain Services: 1 year (Preferred)

• Federal Contractor Eligibility & Base Access Clearance: Required (Training Provided)

• Experience in Military Chapel or Government Religious Services: (Preferred)
