Roof & Exclusion Technician (Full-Time)

Location: Orkin Pest Contro: South Charlotte

Pay Range: $22 – $25 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday (overtime as needed)

Orkin is an industry leader in pest control and home protection services with over 120 years of experience. As we continue expanding our structural prevention and roofing-related services, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Roof & Exclusion Technician to join our team.

This hybrid role supports roofing exclusion work as well as crawl space and attic exclusion services, helping prevent pest and wildlife entry while supporting OrkinTherm insulation installs and overall home protection efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install Ridge Guard and roofline exclusion materials.
• Perform minor roofing-related sealing and prevention work.
• Install or assist with leaf gutter systems (as applicable)
• Seal gable vents, roof joints, and attic access entry points.
• Perform crawl space and structural exclusion when roofing workload is limited.
• Identify vulnerabilities in rooflines, attics, and crawl spaces.
• Work closely with insulation and termite teams to prevent re-entry issues.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding work completed.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Roofing, gutter, construction, or exterior installation experience.
• Comfortable working at heights and in crawl spaces/attics.
• Skilled with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Valid drivers license.

Preferred (not required):

• Exclusion or wildlife prevention experience.
• Crawl space sealing or repair experience.
• Basic carpentry or construction background.

• Ability to climb ladders and work on roofs
• Ability to work in attics and crawl spaces
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
