Senior Product Design Engineer - Electrical Product Development & Innovation
Do you thrive on designing and developing electronic products that make an impact? Were seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer with deep expertise in electrical/electronic product development especially in LED lighting systems, power electronics, and integrated product design. In this full-time, on-site role, you'll lead engineering efforts that directly influence product performance, quality, and customer satisfaction across a growing portfolio of advanced lighting and power solutions.
This position is ideal for an engineer who combines a strong foundation in electrical principles with a passion for applied innovation and cross-functional collaboration. You'll be the technical bridge between design, production, and customer service solving problems and optimizing performance from concept through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design enhancements and support new product introductions in collaboration with design engineers
- Develop and implement solutions involving LED boards, drivers, and control systems
- Customize products based on sales team requests, modifying electrical configurations to meet specific requirements
- Conduct and document electrical testing (UL, thermal, photometric) and manage certification processes
- Source and validate components, emphasizing performance and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain and update 3D CAD designs, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to resolve design and assembly issues, improving output and reliability
- Serve as a technical expert on electrical systems for internal teams and customer applications
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or relevant Engineering field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical product design and development
- Proficient in AC/DC circuit design, 120277VAC lighting circuits, and NEC standards
- Familiarity with LED systems, power supply electronics, and electrical safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects from concept through implementation
- Strong skills in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), Excel, and engineering documentation tools
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
- Experience in LED lighting product development and photometric performance
- Knowledge of thermodynamics and heat dissipation in electronic systems
- Demonstrated innovation in electrical product design and testing

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
