Location: Hybrid (3-4 days/week)
Overview
A private equity-backed organization within the manufacturing sector is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee its finance and accounting operations. This individual will report directly to executive leadership and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial reporting and processes across a multi-entity environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall accounting function, including general ledger, close process, and financial reporting
- Oversee audit, tax compliance, and internal controls across the organization
- Manage shared services functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Ensure compliance with lending agreements and financial reporting requirements
- Partner cross-functionally to support operational and financial performance
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insights to leadership
- Support process improvements, system enhancements, and ongoing scalability initiatives
- Oversee inventory accounting and cost-related activities within a manufacturing environment
- Develop and mentor a team of accounting professionals
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Prior leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a private equity-backed organization
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance
- Experience operating in a multi-entity or complex organizational structure
- CPA or equivalent is a plus
Additional Notes
- This role requires a hands-on leader with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
- Experience with system implementations or process transformations is beneficial
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations, is expected
