AC Corporation is seeking a President to lead and scale a complex commercial and industrial MEP operation during a period of continued growth and transformation.
This executive leader will oversee day-to-day business operations across construction, project execution, estimating, procurement, fabrication, field operations, safety, and customer relationships while maintaining full P&L accountability for the business.
The President will play a visible leadership role across the organization and market. This individual must bring operational discipline, financial acumen, strong people leadership, and deep commercial mechanical contracting expertise. The position is based in Greensboro, North Carolina and reports directly to executive leadership within Crete United.
What You’ll Own
- Full operational leadership for a large-scale commercial and industrial MEP business
- Accountability for revenue growth, profitability, operational performance, and customer satisfaction
- Leadership of project management, estimating, field execution, fabrication, purchasing, safety, and operational support functions
- Development and execution of strategic growth initiatives across construction and service operations
- Financial leadership including budgeting, forecasting, labor productivity, cost controls, backlog management, and monthly operational reviews
- Building and maintaining a high-performance, accountability-driven culture
- Recruiting, developing, and retaining top operational and field talent
- Strengthening relationships with owners, general contractors, industrial clients, vendors, and strategic partners
- Driving operational improvements across systems, processes, pricing strategy, project execution, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Supporting and reinforcing a world-class safety culture across all operations and job sites
- Partnering closely with Crete United leadership and peer operating companies across the network
What We’re Looking For
- Proven executive or senior operational leadership experience within commercial or industrial MEP contracting
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, piping, electrical, fabrication, and building systems operations
- Demonstrated success leading large operational teams and developing leaders
- Track record of driving profitability, operational excellence, and sustainable growth
- Experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial construction projects
- Strong financial and business acumen with prior P&L responsibility
- Ability to lead through growth, change, and organizational transition
- Technical foundation gained through field, project management, engineering, estimating, or operational leadership experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working across multiple departments and balancing strategic leadership with operational execution
Preferred Background
- 15+ years of leadership experience within commercial MEP contracting or related industries
- Experience leading teams of 50+ employees across field and office operations
- Design-build experience strongly preferred
- Mechanical or electrical engineering background is a plus
- Experience in commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, or mission-critical construction environments preferred
