What You Will Do
Lead a joyful, rigorous classroom where every scholar is seen, challenged, and supported to grow.
As a Movement educator, you will help ensure scholar success daily by:
Showing up prepared, positive, and committed to every scholar
Making learning engaging, rigorous, and accessible for each scholar
Encouraging academic growth while nurturing confidence and character
Partnering with families and teammates to support the whole child
Reflecting on practice and growing through coaching and feedback
Collaborating with colleagues and participating in staff meetings and professional development

Clear, confident communication and the ability to build strong relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues
Strong classroom management and organizational skills that create a structured, joyful learning environment
The ability to motivate, engage, and inspire scholars with diverse learning needs
Patience, flexibility, and a solution-oriented mindset in a fast-paced school setting
A growth mindset and a deep commitment to continuous improvement and scholar success
Required Qualifications (North Carolina)
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Commitment to Movement Schools’ mission and values
Highly Preferred:
North Carolina Educator License in the appropriate grade band (Elementary Education K–6)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching in a K–5 classroom
Familiarity with data-driven instruction and standards-based planning
Experience in a charter or mission-driven school environment

Compensation & Schedule
This full-time role aligns with the academic calendar and provides meaningful growth in a purpose-driven environment.
Starting Salary: $49,000 (salary placement based on experience and proper certification)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available for eligible employees
Schedule: Follows the academic calendar with pre-scheduled summer responsibilities for planning and preparation
Additional Commitments: Occasional evenings or weekends for family engagement and school events
