Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician with a strong understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems to support the tooling requirements of new products. The role involves installing, checking, adjusting, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery, conveyors, and miscellaneous equipment vital for plant operations.
Responsibilities- Initiate line/equipment tooling requirements for new products.
- Install, check, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and conveyors.
- Develop skills to meet required changeover standards as determined by OEE studies.
- Complete set-up of all filling and assembly equipment.
- Monitor material usage to maintain scrap levels within allowable standards.
- Change and adjust process equipment, including filling heads, capper torque check weighers, labelers, pumps, and additional ancillary equipment.
- Load components into hoppers or bins during initial startup.
- Respond to job assignments plant-wide.
- Inspect and make repairs to maintain preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain records such as major maintenance, PM, IQOQPQ.
- Operate all shop equipment except the CNC.
- Make adjustments/repairs in electrical panels following electrical Safe Practices for Mechanics.
- Comply with company policies regarding GMP, housekeeping, and safety regulations.
- Advanced understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
- Electrical skills, including using a volt meter and understanding relays.
- Industrial maintenance and preventative maintenance skills.
- Ability to read and work from detailed blueprints and schematics.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with similar equipment, especially in automotive or glass plants.
- Ability to operate power shop tools safely and effectively.
- Capability to train other technicians.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and manipulate bulk drums weighing up to 400 pounds.
- Must meet vision and hearing requirements.

Work EnvironmentWork in a climate-controlled, clean, and highly automated facility. The role involves standing and/or walking for 90% of an 8-hour day, including climbing ladders or steps. Shift options include 1st Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:30 PM, 2nd Shift: 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM, and 3rd Shift: 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxford, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
