Friendly Avenue Christian Preschool is a Christian, Reggio Emilia-Inspired Preschool who seeks a Support Teacher with a heart for providing a high-quality, hands-on-learning environment for toddlers and preschool children. Support Teachers will assist our Lead Teachers with a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assist in routine care, and facilitate positive interactions for children. Support Teachers should be flexible, ready to help, and have great communication skills. Experience is preferred.


Position is 10am - 6pm, Monday through Friday.



Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to relate positively with young children, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
• Effective and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Demonstrate an ability to work successfully with community-based agencies.
• Must be a professing Christian.
• Demonstrate Christian values that support the goals and objectives of Friendly Ave Christian Preschool and Friendly Ave Baptist Church .

Physical Capabilities:

• Able to lift 30 lbs.
• Able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children’s health and safety.
• Spend time outdoors daily in all seasons of weather.
