Network Security Engineer
Information Security Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC Type: Contract Pay: $60 per hour.
Overview We re seeking a Network Security Engineer with strong expertise in firewalls, network security tools, and industry frameworks. The right candidate will design, implement, and manage enterprise security solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational standards while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
- Hands-on network security experience : firewalls, firewall rules/policies, IDS/IPS, proxies, NAC.
- Work with leading security products: Palo Alto, Cisco, Akamai .
- Apply expertise across availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity .
- Collaborate with Security Architecture, Engineers, and Infrastructure teams .
- Perform independent research, in-depth analysis, and problem-solving to drive security initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, PCNSE (Palo Alto), or equivalent.
- Cloud security exposure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
