Barnesville Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a God-called pastor who will boldly proclaim the truth of God’s inerrant Word, lead with Christlike character, and shepherd our congregation with compassion and integrity.

Job Description: Pastor

The pastor will serve as a strong spiritual leader of Barnesville Baptist Church, providing guidance and oversight in all areas of ministry. He will faithfully preach the Word of God, lead by example in his personal and family life, and equip the church to fulfill its mission of making disciples and spreading the Gospel.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preaching & Teaching: Proclaim the truth of Scripture in a bold, Spirit-led manner, emphasizing its inerrancy and authority while applying it clearly to the lives of the congregation.

• Pastoral Leadership: Provide vision and direction for the church while modeling Christlike humility, integrity, and servant leadership.

• Shepherding the Flock: Frequently offer pastoral care in the form of counseling, encouragement, visitation, and prayer support for the congregation with compassion and grace.

• Family & Personal Life: Demonstrate biblical leadership in his home as a faithful husband and father, serving as an example of Christian living.

• Discipleship & Evangelism: Equip members for spiritual growth and maturity while leading the church in sharing the Gospel in the community and beyond.

• Church Leadership: Work collaboratively with deacons, staff, and ministry leaders to carry out the mission of the church in unity and faithfulness.

•Performs sacraments such as communion, baptism, baby dedication, and officiates at weddings and funerals.

Qualifications:

• A clear testimony of personal salvation and a consistent walk with Christ.

• A firm conviction in the inerrancy, authority, and sufficiency of Scripture.

• A passion for bold, uncompromising, and compassionate preaching.

• Evidence of Christlike leadership in family, personal life, and ministry.

• Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message of the Barnesville Baptist Church Constitution.

• Ordination and experience in pastoral ministry.
