Production Lead - NC
Summary/Objective
The role of the Production Lead is responsible to support the production goals of the company through supervision of manufacturing employees. Plans, assigns work, monitors production standards, safety, and efficiency to ensure production goals are met.
Essential Functions:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans and schedules work assignments for manufacturing employees.
- Ensures effective employee relations. Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
- Provides employee coaching and development.
- Assists Plant Manager in making employment decisions relating to hiring, disciplining and termination of Production employees.
- Coordinates special projects as directed by Plant Manager.
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Recommends and implements continuous process improvement in all areas.
- Manages departmental performance measures and provides regular progress reports to Plant Manager.
- Assists in investigation of incidents/accidents.
- Manages departmental scheduling and priorities.
- Tracks time and absenteeism of Production staff.
- Address any problems to ensure quality control
- Fills in when employees are out (floater)

Supervisory Responsibility: Oversee and lead assigned team
Work Environment: Generally, exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold), dust, odors, fumes. Noise level is moderate to loud.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to lift 10 - 50lbs, stand and walk for long periods of time, reach with arms and hands, climb, bend, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally required sit.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Full Time 40/hr.
Travel: No travel required
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 -3 years’ experience in similar role
- Proficiency in English
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Good communication skills
