Financial Coordinator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Financial Coordinator to join our team. This key role will ensure the financial health of the practice by managing patient accounts, coordinating billing and insurance processes, and providing exceptional service in financial matters. The Dental Financial Coordinator works closely with patients and staff to help navigate the complexities of dental insurance and payment options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Financial Consultation: Clearly communicate financial obligations to patients, including treatment costs, insurance coverage, and payment plans.
- Insurance Claims Management: Submit and track insurance claims, ensuring accurate and timely filing to maximize reimbursements.
- Billing and Invoicing: Generate patient statements, process payments, and follow up on unpaid balances.
- Payment Plans: Work with patients to create manageable payment plans and provide options to help them meet their financial responsibilities.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of balances.
- Reporting: Prepare financial reports for the practice, including accounts receivable summaries and insurance collection data.
- Patient Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and insurance providers, resolving any discrepancies or issues related to coverage and billing.
- Compliance: Ensure that all financial transactions are compliant with industry standards and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office, particularly in financial coordination or billing roles.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance, billing, and coding practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling patient information.
